Biological Safety Cabinets Training

Introduction

The following instructions are for accessing the UIC/EHSO on-line training modules:

Biological Safety Cabinets (BSCs) is a web-based training program designed to instruct researchers on how to protect themselves and their products from contamination by learning how BSCs work and how to use them effectively. The course also teaches staff about the different types of ventilation equipment and exhaust and maintenance requirements.

Time Commitment

The course will take approximately 30 minutes to complete.

The Biological Safety Cabinets course is only available to students, faculty and staff of the University of Illinois at Chicago

Getting Started

Complete the following steps to register for and access the Online training course.

1. Go to http://www.uictraining.org

 

        2. Use the following table:

NOTE: IF YOU HAVE PREVIOUSLY ENROLLED, DO NOT ENROLL AGAIN. PLEASE FOLLOW THE INSTRUCTIONS BELOW.

Registration records were not transferred from previous training site. You are considered "New User" if you have not

previously registered at OVCR site. 

            

 

3. Select Course Catalog from the menu on the left.

4. Check mark "Environmental Health and Safety" and click on Browse Selected Categories

5. Click on "Biological Safety Cabinets: A Web-based Training" course.

6. Click on the Enroll to submit your request take this course. You will receive an email confirming your request and instructions on how to access the course.
