Hazard Communication

The Hazard Communication Standard (HCS) and Globally Harmonized System of Classification and Labeling of Chemicals (GHS) work together to effectively communicate chemical hazards. The GHS system defines the hazards and classifications of chemicals while communicating health and safety information through chemical labels and safety data sheets. It is important for everyone with potential exposure to understand how to use this safety information.  This program covers the updated chemical labeling and SDS system, the labeling of secondary containers and OSHA HazCom compliance.
